On my first day at Fox 21, Delmarva's News Leader, WBOC 16 I started out by meeting all of the people that I will be working with and around. Ethan Holland, my supervisor, and I dicussed the things I could do throughout my time there and advised that I shadow a few people around the studio for the day.

I sat with a video editor for a while and watched how they work with the producers and reporters in order to create video clips for all of their shows.

For the rest of the day, I sat with a producer in the studio and watched what their role in the television process entailed. She showed me the software they use, how to work it and how they put together packages for each show.

Reflection:

I was honestly happy that I got to spend my first day at WBOC meeting everyone I would be working with and getting a good idea of what most people in the studio do. Everyone was very nice and seemed willing to help me out and teach me while I'm there this semester. Everything I saw while shadowing proved there's a whole other world behind the scenes of a television station and I am excited to learn all about it.
