Day 9: October 5, 4 hours

Log:

I started the day off putting together a list of pumpkin patches on the Delmarva Peninsula for DelmarvaLife. I researched a list of pumpkin patches in the Salisbury area and then looked each place up individually to make sure they were all still open and selling pumpkins. I then found additional activities each place offered like a corn maze or hay rides and added their contact information to the list. I found a couple other small places not far from here with pumkins and added their information as well. After that, I helped summarize DelmarvaLife videos on pediatric cancer, HPV records, and ovarian cancer and cysts.

Reflection:

I was happy to jump right into researching when I got to the station. I'm glad they thought of me to help them out before I even got there. While I was working, someone who works there came up to me and told me how big of a help I am and that everyone appreciates that I am enthusiastic about the work I am doing there for them. That made me feel like I was in the right place and I was using my time at WBOC wisely.
